Gibson Brothers

Junior Sisk and Ramblers Choice

Changes are underway for our friend Junior.   We won’t care – cause we know he will make great music.

Sideline is a pedigreed six-piece powerhouse whose style has set the pace in Bluegrass for over two decades. Founders Steve Dilling, Skip Cherryholmes and Jason Moore can all claim their own historical significance to the genre as members of highly awarded groups, multiple Grand Ole Opry appearances and years of national and international touring.

What started as a side project for the seasoned players soon moved to the front and center as the three were joined by talents of Nathan Aldridge; fiddle, Bailey Coe; guitar, Troy Boone; mandolin and began to record and release albums in earnest.

Summer Brooke and Mountain Faith

Since the year 2000, The Mountain Faith Band has performed their unique brand of Americana / Roots music to audiences from coast to coast at Fairs, Festivals, Colleges, Universities, Performing Arts Centers, Corporate Events, and Churches.

When their tour schedule allows, you may find the band performing a prepared program to promote literacy and character education at elementary and high schools along their route. Visiting hospitals to bring joy and entertainment to those who could use a lift is something MFB loves to do. Getting to know MFB is easy; their humility, kindness and love of community shines through on stage and casual conversation. Above all else, MFB is thankful for the opportunities God has provided them through music.

Deer Creek Boys

Ok – it’s not the first time – won’t be the last time!

The Deer Creek Boys were originally formed in 1999 when brothers Justin Tomlin (guitar) and Jason “Tater” Tomlin (bass) and best friend Cason Ogden (mandolin) started picking locally in their native Amherst, Virginia. Fast forward to the present-day, when the group has been reformed with the members much more experienced and polished. The group added North Carolina banjo picker Andy Lowe to round out their sound, and have been a festival favorite ever since re-emerging on the scene! With stints in Nothin’ Fancy, Junior Sisk & Rambler’s Choice, and the Bluegrass Brothers on the band’s résumé, the Deer Creek Boys are a powerful blend of energetic pickin’, hard-hitting harmonies, and top-notch songwriting.

Randall Hibbitts

Randall Hibbitts, a Southwest Virginia native, was born and raised in the “Little Country Town” of Grundy.  He was introduced to traditional bluegrass music such as The Stanley Brothers, Bill Monroe and The Bluegrass Boys, Reno and Smiley, Flatt and Scruggs, at the very young age of twelve.   As a young boy, his parents took him to every festival possible, which became the foundation for his strong, traditional background.  Those childhood experiences, helped to create the sound and style that he has today.  Randall began touring professionally with Dave Evans and Riverbend and later went on to traveling with Ralph Stanley II.  His most recent stent was when he landed the position of  bass player for Dr. Ralph Stanley and The Clinch Mountain Boys.

Deeper Shade of Blue

New band this year for us.  But, I expect that we will have a long relationship.  Solid grass.

Everyone wants us to try  something new.  These cats provide us a way to test the country side of things and still maintain the bluegrass side.  The band members are Bo Heatherley and Zach Burnette – BOZAC –  Get it!  Check them out on facebook @bozacmusic

Bluegrass Brothers

Ok – Would it be Amelia without our perennial favorite boys!   They are back – Victor and company will make it a good time!

Dark Hollow Bluegrass

Fan favorites!   Local Favorites!  Enjoy!DARKHOLLOW

Mountain Highway

Rebekah Long

It is always a cool thing when an artist who has been in the music business for a long time is suddenly “discovered.” In the bluegrass world, this is hopefully about to happen to Rebekah Long who, through her many talents, is no stranger to some of the most successful folks in the genre.

Long grew up in Lincolnton, Georgia near the famous musical kinfolk The Lewis Family and spent time touring and playing upright bass with Little Roy Lewis and Lizzy Long, Rebekah’s twin sister. She also played bass in Valerie Smith & Liberty Pike.

Kevin Prater Band

The Kevin Prater Band bases their sound on strong vocal harmonies.  Built around high trios, their style is reminiscent of the classic Seldom Scene and 1970’s Country Gentlemen performances. They are steeped in the tradition of Gospel music and pride themselves on the acapella hymns and great gospel songs that people have come to enjoy. The band includes classic country in their repertoire and loves bringing old familiar favorites to life. Add a little vintage rock and roll, classic country and acoustic music, you never know what else you might experience at a KPB show!
